Northern Utah · Turf + Hardscape
Artificial turf and hardscaping for a drier Utah
A 1,500 sq ft lawn here drinks roughly 26,000 gallons a season and still browns out in August. Turf and paver hardscape end the watering, the mowing and the reseeding — and still look right in year five.

We build turf and hardscape. That is the whole business — which is why we can tell you what is under a Lehi backyard before we open it, and why we come back if something needs attention.

Artificial TurfFull-depth base, proper drainage, and turf rated for Utah sun — installed to survive freeze-thaw, not just look good in week one.02
HardscapingPavers, walls, steps, and fire features built on a compacted base that holds grade through Utah's freeze-thaw cycle.03
Turf + PaversThe full backyard: turf where you want soft, pavers where you want to put furniture. Designed and built as one job.04
Putting GreensContoured greens with real break, cupped holes, and a fringe that reads correctly — built on a shaped, compacted base.05
Pet TurfDrainage-first turf systems built for dogs — no mud, no dead patches, and a drainage layer designed to be rinsed.
Everyone's turf looks great in week one.
The difference between a yard that still looks right in five years and one that develops waves, low spots, and lifted edges is almost entirely under the surface — excavation depth, fabric over clay, a crushed and refined granite base with no oversized rock in it, and a real edge restraint. That base stays porous instead of sealing up, so water keeps moving through rather than pooling, working into potholes, and shifting the ground every freeze.
None of that shows up in a photo, which is exactly why it gets skipped. It is also the cheapest place for a competitor to cut and the most expensive place for you to find out.
So we put it in writing. Every quote names the excavation depth, the base material, the infill, and the edge detail. Take it to any other bid in the valley and compare it line for line.

We build it
Most turf yards run one to three days. Full backyard builds run one to three weeks.
Three lines, matched to your yard.
Exclusive turf supplied through our installation partner FRDM Turf. The right pick depends on sun exposure, traffic, and whether the yard is walked on barefoot — not on which one costs the most.

ForeverBlade
SignatureTall pile, jade and olive blend. The one most people choose.
A blend of jade and olive-green blades with a taller pile height, which is what makes it read as a real lawn instead of a carpet. It is where most people land once they have seen samples side by side, and it is the safest pick if you simply want a yard that looks like grass.

WildGrass
FlagshipMulti-tonal blades built to pass a close look.
The most convincing turf in the lineup up close, with varied blade tones and thatch that break up the uniformity that gives cheaper turf away. This is the upgrade worth paying for when the lawn is what you see from the kitchen window every morning.

CloudLawn
ComfortThe soft one. Built for bare feet and kids.
The plushest option we install — noticeably softer underfoot than a standard landscape turf, without giving up the density that keeps a path from wearing into it. The one to pick if the yard is mainly going to be used by people who are not wearing shoes.

The highest spec in the valley*
We are not trying to be the cheapest quote you get. We are trying to be the one you only pay once — and to make that an easy decision rather than a leap of faith.
Cheap turf work is easy to sell because everything that decides whether a yard survives is buried before anyone sees it. That is exactly why we put the buried part in writing.
Premium product, a real number before you commit, and one person accountable from the first text to the final walkthrough. That is the whole pitch, and it is meant to be a straightforward yes.
Exclusive turf lines
WildGrass, ForeverBlade and CloudLawn come through our installation partner, not off a big-box pallet. You cannot buy them from a general landscaper.
A base most installers skip
Screened and free-draining, with no oversized rock in it, so water keeps moving instead of pooling and shifting the ground each freeze.
The spec, in writing
Excavation depth, base material, infill and edge detail on every quote. Take it to any other bid and compare it line for line.
One point of contact
The same person from the first text to the final walkthrough, with the turf warranty and the installation warranty both on paper.
* Judge it on the spec rather than the adjective — ask any installer you are considering for their base depth, base material and edge detail in writing, and see who will put it on paper.
Builds, city by city
Every install gets its own page: before and after, what went under it, how long it took, and what it cost.
Where we work
A Lehi new build and an Orem remodel are two completely different jobs. Knowing which one your yard is before we turn up is most of the work.
Common questions
What areas do you serve?
Most of our work is in Utah County — Orem, Provo, Lehi, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain and Spanish Fork — and we regularly head north into the Salt Lake valley and east toward Park City and Heber. If you are anywhere in that stretch, ask. We would rather tell you yes or no on the phone than have you guess.
How much does artificial turf cost in Utah?
It is priced per square foot installed, and the honest answer is that the range is wide because demo, base depth, access, and turf product move it more than square footage does. Our pricing page walks through what actually drives the number, and a free on-site measurement gets you a real one.
How fast can you get to my yard?
We usually get back to you within the hour during business hours, and we can typically get out for a measurement within a few days. Install scheduling depends on the season — spring and early summer book out furthest.
Who actually does the installation?
ROCK + BLADE designs, quotes, and project-manages the work. Installation is performed by our licensed installation partner, FRDM Turf. You get one point of contact — us — from the first call through the final walkthrough.
Do you offer a warranty?
Turf carries the manufacturer's warranty against UV degradation and fading, and the installation itself is warranted separately. We will put both in writing on your quote so there is no ambiguity about what is covered.
Is artificial turf worth it in Utah?
It depends on what you are replacing. If you are pouring water and weekends into a lawn that still goes brown in August, or fighting mud from dogs, or trying to grow grass in deep shade, the math is straightforward. If you have a healthy lawn you enjoy maintaining, it is a harder case to make and we will tell you that.
