Artificial turf and hardscaping in Orem, Utah
Orem is mostly established housing, which changes the job. Yards here usually come with mature trees, decades-old sprinkler systems, and grading that was done for a lawn rather than for a patio. Most of our Orem work starts with figuring out where water currently goes before we decide what to build.

What is different about Orem yards
Mature trees mean roots
Established Orem yards have large root systems close to the surface. Excavating base depth through a root zone has to be done carefully — cutting major roots can kill a tree that has been there fifty years. Sometimes the right answer is shifting the patio three feet.
Old sprinkler lines are exactly where you do not want them
Irrigation in older Orem yards was often added to over the years with no as-built. We locate and cap lines under turf areas properly instead of just cutting them, and we reroute what still needs to feed beds.
Existing grade was built for a lawn
A lawn tolerates a flat or slightly backward-sloping yard because grass absorbs water. Turf and pavers do not. Reworking grade is frequently part of the scope on an Orem remodel and it belongs in the quote, not as a surprise on day two.

Do you work in older Orem neighborhoods with tight backyard access?
Yes. Narrow side-yard access is common in central Orem. It affects the schedule and the equipment we can bring, so we check access during the measurement and price accordingly rather than discovering it on install day.
Can you tie new turf into an existing lawn or beds?
Yes, with a hard edge restraint at the transition. A clean, secured edge is what keeps the turf from lifting where it meets soil.
